This Is The CRFT Project.
When we started this venture in the summer of 2020, it was sparked by the initial goal of preserving the stories and history of women's basketball in the DMV area. Creating a space for individuals to be seen, heard, connected, and valued for their contributions to basketball became a catalyst for our drive through the pandemic, to create a documentary.

58+interviews later; Watching many days worth of film, scouring archives, researching, editing, pitching-- a docuseries pilot episode was built, private screenings self-funded, and film festival acceptances along the way. The feedback has been beyond imaginable and I cannot thank everyone enough who has spent time building with me in whatever phase over the past four years.
Quality anything takes time to create ||especially in a never ending global crises|| but it's the community that has continued to fuel this once small vision. And i've just wanted to make everyone proud. Including myself.

To all of our supporters, contributors, athletes, donors, and anyone's who's offered their time, space, and expertise along the way-- your impact sticks with me always. It fulfills me more than anything that many who have been a part of this process have embarked on greater career opportunities with a little help from our storytelling and visibility. Even better that many who've been interviewed, worked on, or have seen our work have been inspired to give back to the WBB space with a reignited passion like I've inherited. I'm grateful for all the stories entrusted in me on and off camera.

CRFT brought me back to the game i once loved after years of trying to escape it's hold on me. As we embark on this next phase, we're leaning into an era emphasizing self-expression and culture while widening our scope of storytelling and community. Our core foundation of LOVE remains at our nucleus. I'm excited to share this platform and space while continuing to amplify others who Can't Retire From This. Whatever your "This" may be.
For us, it's basketball.

A lot of growth, opportunity, and venture is on the horizon. The recent discourse in the women's basketball space over the past few months have proven why our mission is important. And God has been putting the pieces in place, with patience. Thank you for being here.
